About.

Hello, I’m Jeramiah Ross.

Thank you for visiting. I’ve spent my life composing, performing, designing, and transforming ideas into immersive audio experiences. Music has always been more than a profession for me; it’s a way of life.

I began at age four, composing on a piano in my grandparents’ shed. With the encouragement of a supportive music teacher, I was writing and performing original pieces by the age of ten. Growing up in Palmerston North my Hometown, my teenage years were filled with experimentation—my home became a makeshift studio packed with gear, cassette tapes, and early computers. I spent hours recording, learning, and exploring the possibilities of sound.

That hands-on approach led me to Creative Sounds, where I worked on my production skills and connected with the local creative community. I later joined the B-Net student radio collective as an Audio Production Engineer, producing shows and crafting radio campaigns—an early foundation for what would become a long career in music and sound design.

My solo project Module was born during a late-night session with New Zealand songwriter Paul McLaney (Gramsci), and it led to my signing with LOOP Recordings, one of New Zealand’s most respected independent labels. My debut album Remarkable Engines became a national success, launching a multi-year tour across New Zealand and Australia. From club shows to festivals, I’ve performed as a one-man electronic act and collaborated with iconic Aotearoa artists including Fly My Pretties, Pitch Black, Rhombus, The Black Seeds, and Rhian Sheehan.

In 2008, following a live show, I was approached to score Shatter, an arcade-style video game. The result was a globally acclaimed soundtrack, blending retro-electronic influences with modern production. It remains one of the most celebrated arcade scores of the era and helped define a new phase of my career.

Since then, I’ve worked with international studios such as DreamWorks, Adult Swim, ZeptoLab, Magic Leap, Weta Workshop, and Resn, contributing music, sound design, and integration to games, films, AR experiences, and digital content. Long-term collaborations with studios like PikPok have allowed me to explore everything from mobile games to large-scale cinematic audio.

With over 20 years of experience, I bring not only technical abilities but also a deep understanding of storytelling, emotion, and collaboration. I adapt to projects of all scales—from fast-turnaround work for independent creators to large-scale productions for global clients. Whether it’s composing, producing, sound design, or creative direction—I offer a flexible, end-to-end solution grounded in quality and vision.

Outside the studio, I’m a photographer, writer, and lifelong learner with a passion for astrophysics, history, and mental health advocacy. I believe creativity is one of our most powerful tools for navigating life, and I’m dedicated to helping others harness it meaningfully.

If you’re looking for a collaborative partner to bring your project to life, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s create something great—together.
